Here We go Again

This is a sad post...I've been seeing some problems with Laura's teeth which reminded me of Melissa at this age so took her to the dentist yesterday. She did an excellent job with the cleaning, polishing, fluoride, and exam. The sad part is that she has cavities and decay so I was told to take her to the specialist. I am NOT looking forward to ten-hour drives again. Chalk up another one for a bad decision in moving out in the country...

You shouldn't blame it on the country. At leasst not all of it. Darrell and Rebecca lived on well water their whole life and have wonderful teeth. DNA/genetics overides all the time.

I'm sure fluoride isn't the miracle the dentist makes it out to be!
I'm sorry about the girl's teeth though.
We just got our girl's mouths all fixed up from a total of 8 cavities between them!It wasn't all that fun and we only have to drive 20 min. to get there. :)

Don't get me wrong...I don't believe for a moment that it's the lack of fluoride! It's genetics, I'm sure, but it seems strange that it would happen after I start actually taking care of the little one's teeth. :) I never, never, never brushed the older kids' teeth until they were older. Martha, I sure hope you have some kind of good insurance or coverage of some sort!!!
