Valentine's Day Dinner

Thursday is a busy day at our house because I am not home much so I made this heart pizza for Wednesday's supper before AWANA.

Valentine's Lunch

I know it looks like a breakfast meal, but this was our lunch. :) Pancakes, eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns (not pictured)

Tracy worked on heart-shaped sugar cookies with the younger kids yesterday, and I have some cupcakes I am hoping to get frosted with swirled red/pink coloring.

I am hoping to get some fajita-style supper made, but we will see. I guess I will not get much done sitting here. :)

I am sure some of the kids will be swimming today, and I have to drop off the recycling stuff and get a few groceries at the store.

Have a great day.

Valentine's Day 2010

A friend invited us to her house for a Valentine's Day party. The kids got to decorate cookies and cupcakes and even add their touch to a huge cupcake. Overall, I think ALL of the kids had fun. If I counted correctly, there were 18 children there! :) Here are a few pictures of the process and the end results.
We made these candy cane hearts for eight of our special friends. I bought enough for our kids to have one also, but the packets of candy I bought didn't have enough in them so we'll do ours after another trip to the store.

Valentine Treats

We made some cookies for Valentine's Day, made heart pizzas for supper with pink dough (each kid decorated his/her own pizzas,) and made a loaf of purple bread.

A Valentine Craft

I know this was something that went around in an e-mail, but I first saw it on my friend's blog. Check her out here; she's quite special!

We turned it into a craft and handed out Valentine's treats to friends. We cut out hearts, painted around the edge red, glued John 3:16 to it (notice VALENTINE down the middle if you enlarge it,) and taped a sucker to the back.
