Frozen Bread Dough

Has anyone done any experimenting with putting dough into the freezer to pull out later to rise and bake like you can buy at the store? I want to try that but don't want to waste my flour and yeast if someone has tried it and it hasn't worked. :)

Today while Laura was napping and everyone was gone I steam-cleaned the general area of the girls' room. It looks a lot better so I may consider moving things and doing the whole of the general area instead of just the open space.

It's 81 in here and I can't believe the humidity is only 56%. I have sweat running down. Summer must be here. :)

I don't know about the bread dough, but would love to hear if it works for you.
It was so fun to have you all down for softball and then snacks!

I have frozen bread dough regularly in the form of cinnamon rolls ready to be baked and in dough balls both works great. If you want dinner rolls my prefrence would be to bake the rolls spread out on the pan so they don't touch when they are done rising at 325 for about 10 min (firm but not brown) and then let cool, bag and stick in the freezer. When you want dinner rolls pull the amount you want out stick on a greased pan and bake at 400 until golden. When I do the cinnamon rolls I pull them out of the freezer before I go to bed and stick them in the oven to thaw and rise. In the morning I bake them. Brown rice is always more chewy in my experience. You just have to learn to like it, I think. Although a friend if mine uses Uncle Ben's minute brown rice and it is pretty tender. Anna

Thank you so much for all the helpful comments. When things slow down again after a bit, I'll be trying some of the ideas.
