Grandma gave David his first bath. He was not too impressed.

David Allan Trott
Here are a few of the early pictures of our little David. Well, he wasn't exactly "little," being the second biggest of our babies... He was definitely ready to come and has lots of "peely" skin to prove that. Other than the people who were here for the birth, he had his first visitors yesterday who brought him a diaper cake, a photo frame, and a sleeper. They brought us some soup and banana bread too. :) He finally nursed last night for the first time though he suspiciously looked around and made funny faces the whole time. I couldn't even laugh because I didn't want to disturb him.

It's A Boy
The new Trott child is a boy born at 5:32 P.M. November 24,2009 - 9# 4 oz - 22" long pictures to come
Another Prenatal
The midwife was here tonight and things are going really well. We have determined that November 14 was the correct due date going by later measurements and calculations so I'm really only 42 weeks, not 46. My blood pressure has been just fine, my energy level is good, and pulse and respirations are within normal. For anyone who cares, tonight the baby's heartbeat was 148, head's down, I'm effaced 80%, baby's at station -1 to 0, and I'm dilated to 4. Maybe we'll post a picture of a new baby this week. :)

Friday
Today I took all the girls to town. We did some errands, went to the library, checked out books, and got some free dilly bar cards for the three little girls. Then we went to Dairy Queen and redeemed those plus got a shake for Mike on his 2:00 break. After that we went to the park. Even though the day was warm, the wind was a bit chilly. The girls came back to the van for their jackets and even asked for mittens (which I didn't have them pack since it was over 50 degrees when we left.)
Last night we had a prenatal appointment again. Everything is still going well, but my bottom blood pressure number was up to 82. Hopefully it was just the excitement of the day. I did a bunch of baking yesterday to try to cover up the smoke smell in the house. When I cleaned the oven, the whole house reeked. It did that during soccer season when I cleaned it also.

Prenatal
Well, I'm still here...and still hanging in there.
If this baby goes like the last two, I should be having a baby within the next week due to measurements etc.
We had an appointment yesterday, and everything is going very well except all the anxious waiting on people's parts--not just mine and Mike's and grandparents' but friends also. There have been days I've threatened to take the phone off the hook and throw the computers out the windows but have restrained myself. ha ha ha
Laura got to hold a kitty yesterday, and you should have seen the big smile on her face! I wished I had had my camera. It was definitely priceless; it's too bad the dog would bark a cat to death. I could certainly use some cats for mice patrol around here. The dog tries but just doesn't cut it.
On a down note, another dryer just bit the dust this morning. I'm hoping it's a simple fix like a belt or something, but I really did not need this added to my life right now. My next option is to string clothes line across the house. LOL--I tried grass-drying the clothes this summer, but that did not work well so we will have to come up with something.
Have a good Sunday!

A Busy Day Today
Today I did a quick carpet clean in the living room and the girls' room. I just used water and baking soda, but it appears to have taken out the top layer of dirt. The gallons of water I dumped out outside proved so. YUCK!
I also did some rearranging of bookshelves with Tracy's help. We are going to see if we can put Laura's toys on the empty bookshelf so she has better access to them. She got some farm stuff and some "Little People" stuff for her birthday this year that have been at the bottom of her box. She can't really reach into it.
Here are two of the three bookshelves that we mostly filled while emptying the fourth for Laura (the third is behind a table I already moved back.)
I also did the normal dishes and laundry though Tracy did a couple loads of laundry too.
I'm not sure if Mike plans to take Aaron hunting in the morning or not. I plan to run to town to go to the bank and drop off some library books the kids decided not to read but to scatter instead.
Saturday morning we have a prenatal appointment, if the other baby expected doesn't make an appearance. (Well, or if ours decides to come.) :)
The computer was played A LOT today so it's probably ready for a break. I did some church work on it also plus punched and filed a lot of church bills and such. I'll have to see what tomorrow brings...

Tuesday
Well, I see it's nearly been a week since I blogged. Oh well, life will go on. :) We're still waiting on the baby to make an arrival. Things are still going well.

Wednesday
Our evening went well. We went to town early before Awana.
We went to the bank and the Care 'N Share and got Dumbo (dog) two "un-stuffables" and a sweater for Mike. This is a used clothing/miscellaneous place. An "un-stuffable is a stuffed animal. I call it "un" because the dog chews and chews them until he gets a hole in them and then proceeds to take all the stuffing out of them, thus being un-stuffed. :)
Then we whizzed through the Post Office and mailed a bill and went to the library.
The park was the next stop, and the kids enjoyed swinging by the lake then ran over to the slides across the street.
Peanut butter on bread and grape juice was for supper.
The two little girls and I went in to Alco to get diapers, wipes, toilet bowl cleaner, and dishsoap while the others stayed in the van and read library books, then I went into the grocery store alone and got oranges, carrots, and other stuff. It was SO busy in there. There were five lanes open, and I still had to wait in line!

Tuesday
Today went fairly well. The living room is trashed again though--too much stuff. The little girls (well, everyone really,) tend to migrate to the cleanest room in the house to play in. :)
We got school work done with everyone except Jason's and Emily's language. That will only take an extra five minutes tomorrow. It's just working with commas so should be easy.
Tomorrow evening I'm hoping to get to town a bit early (unless the baby comes) to do some errands before Awana. If timing and weather are right, I want to bring Laura to the park to swing for a while.

Prenatal
Yesterday we had a prenatal appointment and everything's going well. The baby's approximately between 8 1/2 and 9 pounds, I measure 40 cm, and the heartrate was 140. I'm hoping within the next week although Mike was hoping for last Sunday.

A Quick Funny
Emily and Melissa were making paper chains tonight for the number of days left until Christmas, and Emily wanted to use the stapler. Upon finding it empty, she asked, "Where's the ammo. for the stapler?"
