Melissa's 6th Birthday
Melissa had her 6th birthday today. We made "smile" French toast for breakfast, BBQ pork pizza for lunch along with "mud," a "water" birthday cake, and chicken nuggets for supper.

Spaghetti Slurper
The strangest things crack me up! Tonight David was eating some of my spaghetti, and I told Tracy to take a short video so I could post it. She beat me to it so here is the link. :)
*Later* Aww...the lighting is bad; you can't see him slurping. Anyway, he was slurping it up just like we do when we are being silly, without the noise.

Leaving
The kids and I are leaving later this morning to bring the dog down to see his grandma. We will exchange Aaron for Tracy and Emily and pick him (Aaron) up at the end of the month. Maybe I will try to leave the dog also. It would be so good for him to be around lots of different people.
Today (yesterday) we went to town and put the canoe in the river. It was NOT a fun trip. David screamed the whole way and would not even nurse, and Jason was not strong enough to paddle (with or without the current,) at least with Aaron manning the back. I do not think we even made it 1/2 mile. The two little girls had fun, and we got to see a set of geese with five adorable goslings and lots of different birds.
A friend of ours is stuck in VA with a broken-down car. He was supposed to be delivering a load of cows to Bagley Thursday, but that is not going to be happening. :(
Well, we will see how David endures this car ride later this morning; he can't even last on a trip to town without crying so it may be a challenge. :)

Oil Change
Today Aaron and Jason went to an oil change class. We were also served a supper of Spanish rice and fruit salad which was yummy. Nothing else has been happening except it has been getting up past 80 degrees at our house--too hot for me!!!!!

Visit
My sister came today to visit, and she took Tracy and Emily back down with her to visit my mom until Wednesday/Thursday when we go down. It will be different around here because those two are the two that like the days scheduled with something to do each day on the calendar. :)

Dresses
Back in December, I mentioned I was working on dresses as a sewing project. Well, just last night, I finished the last dress. My machines gave out finishing up those dresses, and with David's birth, things just got shoved in the closet. I finally got my machines fixed and started up on some things I've been working on. I was scrambling around, trying to find a zipper for the last dress when I remembered I have some zipper tape for "make-your-own-length" zippers. So...the Christmas dresses are finished! :) With that said, I have two more thank you notes I'm long behind on so should get busy doing those.

Tracy's 16th Birthday
Tracy had her 16th birthday on Tuesday. Wednesday evening she had a friend over for a couple hours. She had sausage gravy and biscuits for her birthday breakfast, chicken cold dish for her lunch, and "breakfast" for supper. Everywhere Tracy was, Laura was so it is a good thing Tracy was old enough to take that. I made her a peanut butter cake with Recees Peanut Butter Cups as decorations on top. Sixteen candles sure made a bright light. :)
The three younger girls made a "snowman" out of balls.

Winter Babies
Quick Trip to Town
I babysat my friend's twins today while she was at an appointment. "S" grabbed on to me and would not let go when I had to leave. His sister literally had to pry him away from me! :)
Here is a picture of them when David was born. I printed a copy and keep forgetting to give it to them. Since this picture they have had at least three hair cuts that I know of and need another.
